Wine Pairing
Vintages from the Italian truffle-growing regions are an excellent accompaniment for cheese plates featuring truffle honey.
1) Sagarantino di Montefalco DOCG, from Umbria, is often our first choice when it comes to cheese plates that include hard cheeses such as pecorino romano (also from Umbria).
2) Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, from Tuscany, is another favorite of ours.
3) Vin Santo, the Italian dessert wine generally from either Tuscany or Umbria, is an excellent choice for after-dinner cheese plates featuring gorgonzola (or similar blue cheeses) and truffle honey.
